Okay...
So, I'm having difficulty with my msn. For the past few weeks, it keeps telling me it can't sign me in, there's a connection issue. I've looked up the error code, done everything people on several boards and the msn site says to do and STILL nothing.
:/ I'm really not sure what to do anymore. Anybody got any ideas?
I've already:
-Checked the firewall settings to make sure nothing is off there, and nothing is
- Uninstalled and reinstalled
- Repaired the program
- Updated my computer every way it needs to have been
-Cleared out all the suggested data from both internet browsers.
So yeahh..
I'd reaaallly like the chance to use MSN/Windows live messenger again.

It's error code: 800488eb
D; I've done everything the main site and a few help sites say to do with that code so far, but there has to be something else out there that can fix it.

My msn screwed up too,but my mess up was due to some parental control setting..so I gave up on MSN and switched to meebo. I am no help,I sorry.

Time and date is right, i saw that on the boards too, but that isn't the problem.
Don't think it's my router, because everything else works. It's just the messengers that don't. Heck, I think even skype might work.
D; oh bleh. I probably will just have to resort to that if I can't figure it out.

I never used msn so I don't know how to help you but I can tell you using Skype is quite nice in terms of chatting. I use it to chat a lot.

It does, but
A- Nobody on my list ever talks to me when I'm on web messenger, even when I try to message them. Like they're afraid of it. .__.
and
B- I can't have my avatars and display messages how I like. I know that's not really a big deal for some people, but I rather liked some of the customization msn offered.
Including how the messages go. I like having a messenger that isn't part of the internet browser itself, so that when I have tabs open for homework, music, etc, I don't have to keep switching back every 5 minutes to see what people might have left. Msn, it wasn't part of my internet tabs, I could keep the box right where I wanted it while multi-tasking so that I didn't run the risk of completely ignoring somebody or not figuring out they sent me a message.
I know meebo tells you, it makes a sound and the tab's text flashes, but honestly when I have music going I don't hear that sound and when I'm working intently on something in one of my other tabs, I won't notice it. And that's why I prefer actual messengers- because yeah, I can leave them where I can see the message itself pop out of the corner of my eye, see who is on, play games and doodle with people on my list, etc.

I'm no expert, but there have been times where my computer is just to broken or something to work like how it use to, so I restored it to factory settings. Is that an option for you?

I've had this problem before. You go to the sign in menu and select "sign in with a different account or change your online status" If I can remember there is a button that says "clear your account" and then quit messenger. Reenter your email, and password and voila, you're in!

It is, as soon as I find some of the discs for programs I need for school. XD I really do hate to have to do that, but at this point I may just have to. It WOULD fix things.
And unfortunately mags, that didn't work. D: but, we talked about that on meebo last night lol.
