I've noticed that quite a few AF members like to post stuff just for the sake of keepsakes--to preserve memories. I am no different. Taking a trip down memory lane, looking at old stuff--it gives me inspiration and puts a smile on my face.
So, I have a proposition. You know what would make this board even better? Having our own scrapbook. We don't have to confine ourselves to black and white text and limited bb coding. With a scrap book, we could add the content we wish and make it look really pretty. We have some members who are artistic, and we have some members who are systematic. We could make this continual project something very beautiful and full of memories that we can all enjoy together.
Ideally, any member could come to this scrapbook to put anything on it, decorate it, whatever. He or she puts on anything that made an impact to him or her relating to the forum or whatever: a picture, a song, a joke, or just a small story about something that happened. Everyone sees this thing develop almost like a WYSIWYG editor. Perhaps annually or biomonthly, depending on how much activity there is, the scrapbook is published, and we start a new one.
This would be a nice way to preserve our memories for everyone to enjoy. Ideally, we could do a lot and make something really pretty.
What does everyone say? If I can get enough support, I will definitely look into this. One question I have is what are everyone's conditions. The first thing that came to my mind is a dropbox, but some require to install something and others require an account. I am not quite sure, and I have not looked into this matter. However, something like this would be really cool, and I wanted to see what everyone else thinks about.
